After some years of a very plain look-and-feel, I finally got around to dressing up the main page. And occasionally, I get around to updating the content, although some data and scams are timeless. Leave a comment if there is something you would like to see!

Tina, that's a tough situation. Many brokers have multiple web sites, or sell tickets from the same supply, so it's not surprising that you bought from one company, but another answers the phone. Nothing wrong with that. As for your complaint, you could dispute the charge, but it might go to collection. You can go to small claims court, but that might be hard if you and the company are in different cities. You can file a complaint with the broker's state attorney general, it might not get your money back, but if there are other complaints, it will put pressure on them.

I purchased tickets from misstickets.com with a specific seat I wanted. I was charged several fees, and delivery charges. Anyway, so I spent around $90 each. I went to Ticketmaster.com and looked at the same seats and they were half the price! So I called misstickets and an agent from VIPBROADWAY answered. I asked to cancel. They told me all sales are final. So ok, my fault, then the agent told me he upgraded my seat and I specifically stated in my order not to do that! He told me all sorts of reasons, why i couldnt cancel when their policy states that if i didn't give permission to cancel, then my card won't be charged. Shady business practice! So I told them I'll dispute the charge with my credit card company, and he threatened me with all these lawsuits, when I'm clearly right.

vonnie, it depends on where the email came from. If it from Ticketmaster, it should be OK.

World Ticket Shop - do not use them. I paid for Cold Play tickets in Nov 2008, have been trying to get the tickets since Jan 2009. The concert is now less than a week away and they won't send me my tickets. They say the tickets haven't been released yet, this is not true, tickets have been available since Dec 2008. Extremely difficult company to deal with, contradict themselves constantly, rude and unhelpful. They have a great website, look very professional, say they guarantee delivery, etc., etc., don't be fooled.

Ticketmaster has been getting lots of bad press lately, this is a shocking story. They should not have charged the top zone price for bad seats.

I went to ticket master to purchase tickets and tickets now window popped up. They showed 6 tickets available for balconey (left of stage)at 150.00 a pc. When I received the tickets they were for the mezz section (2nd floor, half way up the section) They were terrible seats. I called to find out why I didn't get the tickets I ordered and found out that the small print explained all. They apparantly don't guarantee the tickets you order but better or equivalent to. In this case not so. I went to see how much the tickets I got were worth. They were only 45.00 through ticket master or the venue. I argued the better or equivalent, but they wouldn't give my money back. They held firm, in the 5 seconds my order was processed the tickets I ordered were bought by someone else, all 6.! I doubt they ever had the tickets and charged me 3 times the price. I totally got screwed and I wish someone would make them pay for ripping off people.

We ordered tickets to MotoGp Philip Island, Australia, in July 08 and the 387Eu was taken from our account in July. We had not received the tickets by Early Sept so emailed them and they said the tickets are sent 2-3weeks prior to event. When they did not come we emailed(x7) and phoned (x20) with no response. the race is for Oct 3,4,5 and we have no tickets with flights and accommodation booked!
The site is www.motogptickets.com Has anyone else had a problem with this site - and suggest you never use this site and avoide being ripped off.

Can anyone tell me if they have a telephone number for Xclusive tickets.com? I'm beginning to think I've been done!

I purchased Opening Ceremony tickets from Beijingticketing.com (XCLUSIVE LEISURE and HOSPITALITY), seemed pretty official, but it was ousted by the British media as a scam. I lost $1780US. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/mar/09/olympicgames2008.internet

Never trust a travel agent by name Bhatti. He calls himself as Hamid Bhatti. He will ask you to wire money to chase account in texas. He is a fraud. He will never give his number or ask you leave a voice mail on a number. You cannot reach him by any phone.

he will get you an itenary and a ticket. after you pay money the ticket will get cancelled. I suspect the airlines is also part of the deal.

From the old forum 10/19/07:
A reader asks about the 'London ticket shop' web site. Purchased a ticket for £65 plus £20 in fees. Nice web site with good features, high search engine rank, but ticket had not arrived a few days before the show, and the web site operators cannot be reached.
